APRIL SHAKESPEAREANCE: DEATH SCENES

MAY SHAKESPEAREANCE: ONSTAGE WITH JULIUS CAESAR
Saturday, May 21st | 1 pm - 4 pm | $35 | Ages 8 - 11
Experience Shakespeare’s great historical thriller, Julius Caesar. Perform lines from the play on the set of SYT’s production of Julius Caesar, stage the assassination of the Roman tyrant, and stick around afterwards to see the full production of The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, presented by Shakespearean Youth Theatre.
This class includes tickets for enrolled students and one adult per registrant to attend SYT's production of Julius Caesar on May 21st at 7:00pm.

SHAKESPEAREANCE CAMP

Unleash the actor within. Make your stage presence known and enter the world of theatre in this exciting and challenging workshop. Take a week and dive into the wonders of acting Shakespeare in an immersive half-day camp designed to highlight Shakespeare as a fun and accessible source of inspiration for artists of ANY age. Learn basics of stagecraft, movement, verse speaking, stage combat, and other elements of Shakespeare's theatrical world, all while finding the joy in some of the most delightful words ever written in the English language. Use this summer to start your Shakespeare odyssey.
CAMP SHAKESPEARE
Tuesday, July 5th - Friday, July 8th | 9:30 - 3:30 daily | Ages 13- 19
A skills-building, all-day theatre and Shakespeare camp. Start your day with stage combat and theatre movement in a fun and invigorating intro to the art of death and dying onstage. (There will be swords. Did we mention there will be swords?) Then, in the afternoon, choose-your-own adventure: either dive into the world of technical theatre and learn the ins-and-outs of lighting, sound, and costumes; or hone your acting chops, learn how to decode Shakespeare's text, and unlock the secrets of acting the Bard. Make this the summer you conquer Shakespeare and take your stagecraft to the next level.
SPEAKING SHAKESPEARE
Monday, August 8th - Friday, August 12th | 9:30 - 3:30 daily | Ages 13- 19
Unlock the hidden direction of Shakespeare's language, and take a deep dive into the fascinating universe of how Shakespeare directs actors through his text. Hone both your acting skills and your Shakespeare knowledge as this class takes you on a broad journey through Shakespeare's works, from the greatest hits to the most underrated deep cuts.
